Simply put? It was a wine that was never meant to be. An unkept vineyard lying slumbering with 50-year-old vines. Bought to build a house with a tranquil view.

Unexpected twists of fate, a relationship found late. A Qantas girl with a passion for wine. A tech exec with his dream to build a house in Mudgee. A ruined harvest, a bunch of covid, a mountain of learning, a test of commitment.

2 people connected to the earth - his roots growing up on the land, far away in the US of A. Her family roots as early settlers of this great land of Australia.

Brought together to create a wine so full of care. A seed sown, a passion kindled, a memory stirred. A little coaxing, a lot of planning, a measure of love, a dash of humour.

All combined to quietly create a little wine of elegance, that no one ever expected.
